COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and our State Public Health Officials, our office is open for comprehensive exams as well as being available for emergencies.

Your safety is of utmost importance so we continue to implement distancing and disinfecting protocols:

  • Upon arrival, pull up to the west entrance of the building (Caldwell Avenue side) and call 847-647-0707 from your vehicle to check-in.
  • All patients must wear a mask prior to entering and while inside the office.
  • All patients will be screened for current health status; body temperature and/or pulse oximetry will be taken and hands will be disinfected before examination.
  • Please be aware that only patients with scheduled appointments will be allowed to enter the office with the exception of children accompanied by a parent or those requiring the special attention of a caregiver.

If it is not possible for you to come to our office, we are available for telehealth visits; please call us to schedule at your earliest convenience or reach out if you need the following:

  • Request refills or extensions on prescriptions, relating to current medications or concerning your contact lens supply.
  • Request that we ship/deliver your glasses or contacts to you, if your order is ready.

Please continue to follow the precautionary measures recommended in an effort to remain healthy and prevent the spread of any potential germs.

1.     Practice Social Distancing – maintaining a 6 foot physical space between others.

2.     Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

3.     Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, including your eyeglasses.

4.     Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth to prevent the spread of germs and you becoming infected.

5.     Stay home when you have any symptoms or are sick, except to get medical care.

6.     Cover your cough with a tissue and immediately discard the tissue in the trash.

7.     If you are ill, discontinue the use of your contact lenses.

Stay healthy and we will get through this together! Let’s continue to take these extra measures as long as necessary to get through this year safely in anticipation for a healthier 2021!
